Goodbye May

So my goal is simple. I want to grow my $20,000 account by 1 to 2 percent each month! Which means basically I'm looking to make $200 to $400 per month. Here's how my year has gone so far.

January :: $1,681.55

February :: $620.10

March :: $202.20

April :: $1

And here's how I finished out May...

Options - $194

Stocks - $316.05

Total gain in May = $510.05

Total YTD Realized Gains - $3,014.90 (Up 15.07% on the original $20,000 principal)

My May profit target was somewhere between $225.05 and $410.10. I cleared the upper range of that goal by 13%. For the month, I increased my current account value by 2.27%. Finally, YTD I'm tracking 45% ABOVE the upper range of my 1 to 2 percent target. At this point in the year my goal was to be up anywhere from $1,020.38 and $2,081.61.

I'm very pleased, but I've still got lots to learn and a lot of room to improve. I'm still cutting my winners short and letting my losers run.
